The sun is still out in full force, so that means it’s time for Eater’s annual guide to new patios around town. Lovers of the outdoors have lots of new options this year, whether they’re just looking for a sunny spot to grab a beer with friends or planning to dine al fresco somewhere a little nicer.

Even as we enter the cooler fall months, patios stay open with the help of heat lamps (and some are now even offering blankets).

We’re now up to 48 new outdoor dining spaces that have opened this year Find them spread out across the D.C. area, everywhere from Shaw to NoMa to Shirlington to Penn Quarter to Navy Yard. This list includes roof decks, indoor and outdoor spaces, traditional patios, and more. Of course rain could always be in the forecast, so check them out this summer on those days when the weather actually cooperates.
